Linda Smith “Lynn” Liles, 76, of Littleton died Monday, January 25, 2016.

Linda was a native of Halifax County and was the daughter of the late Jack Leonard and Lois Morehead Warren Smith. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alana “Lynn” Liles.

She was devoted to her husband, loved her grandchildren, they were her joy. She was a lifelong active member of her church, member of the DAR, Red Hat Society. An avid reader, she loved to line dance, travel and drive anything with wheels.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Willis Elton “Sam” Liles; their three sons, Sammy Liles and his wife, Donna of Littleton, Neal Liles and his wife, Jackie of Littleton, and Mickey Liles and his wife, Gloria of Nashville, NC; two sisters, Dean Wollett of Roanoke Rapids, and Jackie Warren and her husband, Alton of Hollister; four grandchildren, Chas Liles, Zach Liles, Jonah Liles and Sarah Liles.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Stan Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery in Aurelian Springs.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
